Terms of Service

Nkasi ("Nkasi," "we," "us," or "our") is a free, U.S.-focused educational tool operated by Tochukwu Godswill Oyi. Contact: contact@getnkasi.com.

Nkasi provides educational information, cost estimates, a directory of charitable assistance programs, AI-assisted bill explanation, and tools to track applications.

Nkasi is not: legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, a guarantee of program eligibility, an insurer, a healthcare provider, or a substitute for speaking with your hospital billing office, a licensed billing advocate, an attorney, or a clinician. Eligibility for any program is decided solely by that program.

You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian's permission) and located in the United States to use Nkasi. You agree to provide accurate information when using the assessment, bill decoder, and application tracking features.

When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror, or otherwise extract content from Nkasi in bulk, by any automated means.
• Copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, license, or sublicense Nkasi content (including written copy, program descriptions, rights articles, Nkasi AI responses, UI text, and design) without our prior written permission.
• Use Nkasi content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning models.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from Nkasi.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Upload malware, attempt to breach security, overload our infrastructure, or interfere with other users.
• Use Nkasi to harass, defame, or harm others, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate Nkasi, our staff, or any other person or organization.

All content on Nkasi — including the name "Nkasi," our logo, design system, written copy (About page, rights explanations, program descriptions, UI text, Nkasi's personality and responses), code, and the curated arrangement of third-party program information — is owned by Nkasi / Tochukwu Godswill Oyi and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Nkasi for your personal, non-commercial use only. All other rights are reserved. Unauthorized use may result in account termination and legal action.

Nkasi links to and describes third-party assistance programs (e.g., Dollar For, Goodbill, Turquoise Health, manufacturer patient-assistance programs, government programs). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for these third parties. Their terms, privacy practices, eligibility rules, and award amounts are set by them and may change at any time. Always verify directly with the program before relying on any information shown here.

Our AI features use third-party large-language models to summarize bills and answer questions. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, or financial decisions. Always verify with the hospital, your insurer, or a qualified professional.

NKASI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NKASI AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) NKASI. Our total liability for any claim relating to Nkasi will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nkasi and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using Nkasi at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Nkasi after changes means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
